Please check with the office if you are not sure if you have paid your fees.

Why:  This pays for the morning ceremony only, such as cap & gowns (which grads keep), a USB of photos from the ceremony, the rental costs of venue, the light and music set up, the certificates, etc.

Grad Caps & Gowns

Mandatory.  You get to keep them (really no price difference if we just rent them).  Please come to the office to be measured for your graduation gown, and to pay your grad fees (unless you already have).

Grad Bios  - Due April 1

Mandatory. A shortened grad biography is read as you cross the stage, and the full one is printed in the yearbook beside your grad photo.  It could contain your favorite high school memories, thanking those who helped you reach your goals, your future plans and a final quote, if you choose, to add at the end.   Example: "Al will always remember his favorite times in Mrs. Simpson's class. He wants to thank all his friends, teachers, and family for putting up with him. Next year he will be attending U of A to pursue becoming a Doctor.  Peace out Westwood!”  Make sure they are school appropriate as they will be edited by Ms. Shelley. These are to be submitted on the google classroom to receive your ceremony invitations.

Theme

Used to help plan decorations, does not determine how you dress. Grad 2019's theme is "A Starry Night"

Grad Historian

The role of the class historian is to represent the Graduating Class of 2019. In the past, they have created videos of the graduating class’ academic and social events. They tell stories of memorable moments the grads want to share in from their high school involvement and graduating year! They should be a well-known student who gets along with everyone and will tell all stories of the grad class rather than just their own. Someone who is not shy to present their video and a short speech at the grad ceremony.  Please nominate ideas on the google class, and then voting will take place.

Staff Speaker

A memorable teacher who you’d like to share their words of wisdom with the grad class for their future endeavors. Please nominate ideas on the google class, and then voting will take place.

Song

There will be no official grad song this year. Grads will still make a playlist of meaningful songs to play during the grand march.  Please nominate ideas on the google class, and then voting will take place.

Grad Caps & Gowns

Mandatory.  You get to keep them.  Please come to the office to be measured for your graduation gown, and to pay your grad fees.

Grad Bios
