Jr High Honours Program

What is Junior High Honours? 

To prepare students for Advanced Placement courses in High School, Westwood Community High School offers a Junior High Honours program providing enrichment in all four core subjects: English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.   At the Junior High Level, honours students are enrolled in all four core courses and can choose their areas of strength and interest in High School.  

Students in Grade 7 are invited to register in the honours program on a first come first served basis. The program is extremely popular, so it is advisable to register early. 

Beyond Grade 7, Students must have a mark of 80% or higher in their Core Courses to remain in the program.
